European Project "Beat DKD"

Apuliabiotech along with DETO Bari is partner of the European project "Beat DKD" (Biomarkers enterprise to attack diabetic kidney disease) which aims to discover, test and validate new biomarkers useful for diagnosis, prognosis, and the definition of the molecular mechanisms involved in the development and progression of renal damage in patients with diabetes. The Deto Bari shared the project with 23 partners of international importance, namely Best nephrology international schools, such as the universities of Oxford, Yale and Helsinki. "Beat-dkd" got 18 million from the EU for 5 years, with possible renewal for another 5 years. With EUR 640 thousand the University of Bari is in the top 5 of universities to have obtained the most funding.,it
